Javen Construction contracted Miller Construction to provide comprehensive sitework services for the new fieldhouse at Shoshone Park, located on Buffalo’s North Side.

The project began with the relocation of the existing combined sewer and water infrastructure to accommodate the footprint of the new fieldhouse. Miller Construction worked closely with Javen Construction to excavate and backfill the building foundation and a retaining wall positioned behind the structure.

To manage stormwater displaced by the new development, the team installed a 7,500-square-foot underground detention basin to meet the site’s drainage requirements.

Additional scope included all exterior concrete work, asphalt paving, and landscaping. Inside the facility, Miller Construction also handled the installation of the stone base for interior field turf to support a future batting cage and sports field, helping prepare the space for active recreational use.
