Creating Inclusive Access to Buffalo’s Waterfront at Ohio Street
The newly renovated NYSDEC Ohio Street Boat Launch enhances public access to Buffalo’s inner harbor with thoughtful upgrades for both recreation and accessibility.
The site now features a car-top boat launch designed for carry-in paddle craft, small fishing boats, and a wheelchair-accessible fishing pier that invites all visitors to enjoy casting a line or simply taking in views of passing lake freighters.
Miller Construction also supported the creation of a pedestrian promenade and overlook platform, ensuring the space is functional and welcoming for everyone. A new North Path provides key connections to Ohio Street and the Shoreline Trail, extending walkability and waterfront engagement in this growing part of the city.
