Rebuilding and Resurfacing Key Corridors in Niagara Falls

This federally funded infrastructure project, specified by NYSDOT and designed by Urban Engineering for the City of Niagara Falls, required full compliance with Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goals and strict regulatory standards. Miller Construction completed the full reconstruction of North Military Road from Cayuga Drive to Niagara Falls Boulevard, alongside the resurfacing of Cayuga Drive from Buffalo Avenue to Tuscarora Road. This critical infrastructure upgrade enhances transportation access and longevity for residents and travelers in the Niagara Falls region.

Scope of work for North Military Road included:
  • Installation of a new waterline and storm drainage system
  • Construction of concrete sidewalks and granite curbs
  • Roadway grading and paving using a polymer-modified asphalt mix reinforced with an asphalt reinforcement system
  • Pavement striping
  • Topsoil and seeding for snow storage areas along sidewalks
Scope of work for Cayuga Drive included:
  • Tree removal and pruning
  • Curb replacement
  • Pavement milling and resurfacing to improve durability and safety
