At B.P.S. #99 Makowski Early Childhood Center, Miller Construction helped bring new life to a neglected asphalt courtyard—turning it into a vibrant, child-friendly outdoor space.

This transformation included grading and utility installation, as well as the addition of new concrete sidewalks to support improved safety and accessibility. Thoughtfully designed by Wendel Companies, the renovated courtyard also features landscaping upgrades such as green turf and fall-safe surfacing to ensure a welcoming and secure environment for students.

The completed courtyard now serves as a meaningful extension of the learning environment, offering young children a safe space to play, explore, and connect with the outdoors.
